Customer Payment Administrator (M/F/D)

About the role:
As an Customer Payment Administrator reporting to the Customer Payments Manager in Lisbon, you will collaborate closely with our Accounts Receivable team to ensure accurate and efficient handling of payments across our European operations.

What you will do:
Process and allocate customer payments efficiently, ensuring accurate classification, coding, and posting to customer accounts and the general ledger.
Maintain and optimize touchless payment automation, maximizing efficiency in payment processing.
Verify and process accounts payable and receivable, including financial transactions such as bank deposits.
Perform quality checks to ensure compliance with framework agreements, Service Level Agreements, and accounting standards.
Check balance statements and financial institution data to ensure accuracy in transactions.
Support internal and external audits, helping to resolve findings and maintain compliance.
Manage internal stakeholder inquiries, assisting employees, managers, and Finance colleagues with accurate financial information.
Provide input on process improvements, identifying inefficiencies and escalating challenges when necessary.
Who you are:
Associated or bachelor’s degree in Finance or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years of experience in Accounting, Cash Allocation or Accounts Receivable.
Preferred system experience –SAP (R/3 and S/4), EBS Workbench and Office 365
Demonstrate humility, accountability, and a strong team spirit by actively collaborating with colleagues, taking ownership of tasks, and fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
